Diary of a Leopard Coat

Diary of a Leopard Coat

Diary
Diary

A coat can reveal so much about someone — and can also bring out an inner persona. Especially a fuzzy leopard one. To really find out, we followed actress and NYC girl-about-town Lauren Fern and her HG Leopard Coat around last weekend. This is the diary of a Leopard Coat:

Getting ready for school growing up my mom always repeated one of her famous personal mantras "Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good." I still carry those words with me everywhere today, especially living in New York City.

I skipped onto the train heading to midtown for my acting workshop. Being in midtown makes me so happy. Most people hate it. I love it. It feels electric and potent with dreamer energy. I couldn’t help but notice a lot of fascinated stares, I mean the coat really is to die for. I even got a few extra “hello’s” and “good mornings” than usual.

I accessorized with a touch of Chanel Rouge lipstick, big sunglasses and blasted 'Sympathy for the Devil' by The Rolling Stones into my headphones.

Wearing something so glamorous made me feel like a TRUE movie star, therefore I think added to the energy and performance I brought to class.  All fucks went out the window.

All that hard works requires a little treat. Duh! I love getting my nails done… The receptionist asked if she can hang up my coat, but I wanted to keep it on, embracing how inspired it’s been making me feel.

I ended the weekend celebrating my friends birthday at the Sugar Hill Club in Brooklyn. It used to be the hottest dancing spot in the '70s. I love that it’s still around, vintage decor and all.

I decided to wear this delicious coat and my big sunglasses again at night. Why change what was bringing me the most magical energy all weekend? It really cemented my mom’s favorite phrase. Here I was looking good, feeling good and therefore doing really good- which is the cherry on top. Muah!
